Here's what happened. Annie was a house dog. She was 4 weeks pregnant but, we needed to let her out one more time for the evening.. This night was very windy and very cold, pitch black {not really ideal target practice weather} As we were cooking, we lost track of time and Annie had already got bored and went through the fence as she has before chasing rabbits. We immediately went looking for her doing everything but yelling at the top of our lungs to try and get her to come home. We had been outside looking for her for 20 minutes..when we heard the shot! (It came from across the lake from the “back end” of CR3345) {we knew something bad had happened.} Zach..our largest male that was afraid of nothing went with her..right after the shot, he came back. Zach would have never left her if she was still alive. We are not really sure what Annie could have done to bring such hate from from anyone, and she was scared to death of guns!A simple warning shot over her head would have chased her back home..We can never replace Annie ..She was murdered. Other dogs have been shot in this area also. This site will be forever in her memory. Rest in peace girl..we love you! Warning..these murderers might be your neighbors?? Update: It appears killing dogs is an Emory Sport
